A minimum of 49 credit hours of work (excluding core M.Div. classes) is required for the Th.M. degree including the following:
|Theological Method and Hermeneutics||4|
|Teaching Methods and Curriculum Design||4|
Each student must complete at least 20 credit hours in his/her major field of study and at least 10 credit hours in his/her minor field of study (e.g., if the student’s major field is Biblical Studies, he/she would complete 20 credits in Old and New Testament Studies and 10 credits in Theological Studies). Normally, the student may transfer a maximum of 4 credit hours (3 semester credit hours) from other graduate theological institutions not already credited toward an earlier M.A./M.Div. degree. If the student completed a Master of Divinity degree at IGSL, he/she may petition the Th.M. committee to grant him/her permission to transfer an additional 4 credit hours (3 semester credit hours) from another institution of higher learning for a total of 8 credit hours (6 semester credit hours).
