Here we are. Gathered at the fountain of forgiveness that flows from our Father’s heart, through a pierced man on a cross. This fountain is not for the sinless, the honorable, the just. It’s for us. Sinners parched for pardon. We, who have hated and judged and rebelled and coveted. We, who have killed and stolen and lied and cheated. We, who have run from our Father’s love. It is we who are washed from our sins by His blood (Revelation 1:4). It is we whose consciences are made clean (Hebrews 9:14). It is we who have been reconciled to our Father (2 Corinthians 5:19). Here we are, forever changed, forever secure, forgiven, free from condemnation, and leading others to this wellspring of life.
